Rebecca Couch was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and is currently based in San Luis Obispo, where she lives with her husband and three children. Outside of tattooing, she enjoys traveling, meeting new dogs wherever she goes, and exploring great food.

Her passion for art led her to Humboldt State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art Studio. After several years working as a painter, Rebecca transitioned into tattooing and apprenticed under multiple artists along California’s Central Coast before earning her place at Sink or Swim Tattoo.

Rebecca draws inspiration from tattooers both locally and internationally. While she is especially drawn to the bold lines and vibrant color palettes of American Traditional and Neo-Traditional tattooing, she enjoys working in all styles and is equally comfortable creating more illustrative and custom-driven designs. Her primary focus is collaborating with each client to create a tattoo that feels personal, thoughtful, and well-crafted—no matter the style.
